Two short samples of my work:
(1) Is it cruel? I endure the torture of being pounding hard on the table when thoughts do not come. Sometimes I get bite on the head simply out of frustration. I may be left behind and replaced without a second thought. I often get used until the life is drained out of me. I don't mind at all. Such is the life of a Bic pen.
(2) Michele grew up in hospitals because of internal hemorrhaging. She cried in pain over the countless blood draws, internal scopes and bone marrow exams. She never felt sorry for herself however. So many others had it worse than going in for a "fill-up" now and then.
