Phenoxide bridged tetranuclear Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II) and Zn (II) complexes

Journal of Luminiscence, Elsevier
A tetranucleating compartmental Schiff base ligand system has been derived from 2, 6- diformyl-4-methylphenol, p-phenylenediamine and 2-aminomethylbenzimidazole. Phenoxide bridged later first row transition metal (II) complexes of this ligand have been prepared by conventional sequential route. Ligand and complexes were characterized by routine physicochemical characterizations.

Pyrazole-bridged late first row metal complexes derived from hexadentate compartmental ligand

Medicinal Chemistry Research, Springer
A series of binuclear Co II, Ni II, Cu II, and Zn II complexes having μ-1, 2 diazine bridging have been prepared and characterized by various physicochemical methods. The hexadentate ligand is synthesized by condensing pyrazole-3, 5-dicarbohydrazide with 2- hydroxynaphthaldehyde (LH 3) in 1: 2 ratio. All the complexes were found to be monomeric in nature with octahedral geometry and act as nonelectrolytes.

Synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of metal complexes derived from benzofuran ligand

Applied Organometallic Chemistry, Wiley
Mononuclear divalent complexes of Co, Ni, Cu and Zn derived from a benzofuran- based novel hydrazone tridentate ligand were synthesized and characterized using various spectroscopic methods. Elemental analysis reveals that the metal-to-ligand ratio is 1: 2 which is supported by mass spectrometry results. Conductivity measurements suggest that all the complexes are non-electrolytic in nature.

Effect of acetate and nitrate anions on the molecular structure

Journal of Molecular Structure, Elsevier
A novel Schiff base ligand 3-(hydroxyimino)-2-butanone-2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl) hydrazone has been synthesized by the condensation reaction of 2- Hydrazinobenzimidazole with diacetyl monoxime in presence of acetic acid catalyst. The ligand has crystallized as its acetate salt, due to the charge-assisted hydrogen bonding between protonated benzimidazole ring and acetate anion.

Evaluation of DNA cleavage, antimicrobial and anti-tubercular activities of metal complexes

Journal of Molecular Structure, Elsevier
A 2, 6-diformyl-4-methyl phenol based multidentate novel symmetric ligand and it is late first-row transition metal complexes have been prepared. The ligand and metal complexes were characterized by different spectroscopic techniques. The ligand shows a symmetric polydentate coordination mode through the phenoxide bimetallic bridge, two azomethine nitrogen atoms and two carbonyl oxygen atoms.

Transition metal complexes of 2-(2-(1H-benzo [d] imidazol-2-yl) hydrazono) propan-1-ol

Polyhedron, Elsevier
Transition metal coordination complexes of Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II) and Zn (II) with a newly designed ligand, 2-(2-(1H-benzo [d] imidazol-2-yl) hydrazono) propan-1-ol have been synthesized and characterized using various spectro-analytical techniques. The molecular structures of Co (II), Cu (II) and Zn (II) complexes are determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method.

Pyrazole bridged dinuclear Cu and Zn complexes as phosphatase models: Synthesis and activity

Journal of Molecular Structure, Elsevier
Present work describes synthesis of dibridged dinuclear [Cu2L2(μ2-NN pyr)(NO3)2(H2O)2] and [Zn2L(μ-OH)(μ-NNpyr)(H2O)2] complexes derived from a pyrazole based ligand bis(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)-1H-pyrazole-3,5-dicarbohydrazide. The ligand shows dimeric chelate behaviour towards copper against monomeric for zinc counterpart. Zinc complex exhibited promising catalytic efficiency for the hydrolysis.
