Electrical Engineer - Renewable energy & microgrid expert

I have a diverse skills background including building services engineering (electrical), lighting design, environmentally sustainable design and energy. I started my career in Melbourne Australia and have spent the last 3 years working in San Francisco. Energy is my core area of focus. I have completed further studies in renewable energy with a specific focus on solar PV. My specialty is conducting complex solar array generation calculations and analyzing the technical and economic performance of solar + battery storage microgrids. I have worked with some of the largest tech companies in the world to analyse and develop solar systems and microgrids for resiliency. I also have experience in the design of Medium Voltage (MV) distribution systems for private power infrastructure as well as building services design. The study presented provides a review of Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) which are devices able to generate electricity and hydrogen from organic matter via exploiting the byproducts of bacterial digestion. The study discusses the design and construction of an MFC and the results of testing the device with wastewater as fuel.
