File type not supported

The primary objective of this research project was to build a more robust understanding of what may be described as the Participation Function in Virtual Community-of-practice (VCoP). An initial model was constructed by using a socio-technical framework in order to interpret factors identified through the literature review and semi-structured exploratory interviews. A Delphi study was then conducted to test the relevance and relative importance of these factors in a quantifiable manner. The result of this research was the portrayal of the circumstances and mechanisms impacting on participation in VCoP. The research enjoyed academic recognition and was quoted and referenced on in numerous studies.

About Me

I have a keen analytical mind, with an eye for detail, and strong interpersonal skills. My first degree was in business economics, a course that inter alia focused on financing alternatives, company valuations (based largely on the CAPM model), and management accounting for decision making. This background, together with my training as a Chartered Accountant, combine particularly well for undertaking strategy and valuation work, financial and economic feasibility studies and business plan development and review work. My experience in audit and accounting provides me with additional insight when performing reviews of financial statements and when helping clients understand the implications that proposed deals may have on their financial statements. This initial experience has been sharpened through my decision to train to become a chartered accountant, giving me formal training leading to the Institute’s professional examinations that I have now fully completed. Furthermore, my MSc from the London School of Economics has enabled me to better understand and analyse the origins of financial data in terms of the systems and processes used by businesses, and the challenges posed by change management. This has allowed me to get involved in process review and project management assignments. I am also a member of my firm's knowledge management team, aiding in projects that promote ease of access and increased sharing of knowledge.
