  I have done my first round of eliminations. I hope that the remaining entries will help refine what I'm looking for. Many have used the stone pendant in their cover design and I do like that, although I should have described what it looks like in the book. It is described as black and in the shape of a small bird's egg, like a robin's egg. There is a magical-type energy associated with the stone, so if anyone wanted to show something similar to writhing threads of dark energy, that might be a fun effect.

  To be clear. The blades I'm talking about have nothing to do with Wolverine or the X-Men. So I'm going to clear out the cover designs that have those elements.
