Contest Brief

I am searching for someone to create a sleek minimalist men's T-shirt with an anime related theme (either from Naruto, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, or One piece) for my eCommerce store. The t-shirt should be modern/stylish, the type you would wear when going out and trying to look nice, not the kind of t-shirt you would wear to sleep, or when playing sports (not streetwear). It should also have no words on it (Japanese letters are ok as long as it doesn't detract from the sleek/minimalistic look). If something cool could be created using a heathered style t-shirt that might be interesting.

Ultimately, the aim of this t-shirt would be to appeal to adult men who don't feel comfortable walking around wearing cartoons or don't feel that it is stylish or mature enough (so designing a T-shirt with a blatant/obvious illustration of an anime character would not work). Sticking to different symbols, shapes, patterns, or creatures that appear in these animes would probably be the best way to go, but when choosing one of these things it's important to avoid certain colors. For example, black and red is a common color combo that appears in these anime, and while it may be artsy/cool to watch on screen, it is often not very stylish and modern to see in real life on a men's t-shirt. Stick to more adult color schemes if possible. If you feel you can implement the silhouette of a character in a subtle/sleek way that doesn't turn off men who feel childish walking around wearing anime characters, then by all means do so.

To sum it up it should be the type of shirt that an adult man who isn't familiar with anime may still consider buying just because it looks nice, and also a shirt that a fan of the anime would recognize and identify with. If you are unsure about your design just ask yourself if it fulfills both of these requirements.

*Modern/sleek style
*Abstract designs within reasons
*Simple patterns
*Heathered type style/material (though it may be too challenging too implement
an anime design into this style)
*different colored sleeves or shirt split in two different colors (not always but it has its place)
*fitted shirt (not loose)

Summary of things I don't want:
*Childish
*Cartoony
*Sentences/words
*90s vibe
*Unnecessarily colorful
*too detailed (looks like a snapshot of the actual anime)
*shirt with a typical loose fit

Below I've attached a doc with a few photos of what I consider to be modern/stylish t-shirts (there are other styles as well but those are the one I could quickly find), the 2nd doc has a few examples of t-shirts that are very blatantly anime shirts and therefore I would not be interested in, it also has a few examples of ones much closer to the mark in terms of what I'm looking for. Be creative look at images of the anime for inspiration and don't limit yourself to the photos I uploaded. Submit as many entries as you wish.
