<Technology Description>
This technology is This technology is related to regenerative braking in electric and hybrid vehicles. In order to increase the amount of electric power regeneration, there is a control that encourages the driver to release the accelerator pedal during regenerative braking (regenerative expansion control).
On the other hand, if the accelerator pedal is suddenly released while the vehicle is turning, the vehicle is known to turn sharply (tuck-in).
One of the problem with regenerative braking is that, if the tuck-in suppression control (control to reduce the vehicle's deceleration by suppressing the sudden release of the accelerator) is in operation, when the regenerative expansion control is started, the regenerative expansion control, which increases the deceleration, may interfere with the tuck-in suppression control, which is trying to reduce the vehicle's deceleration.
To solve this problem, during regenerative braking, the driver is notified to release the accelerator, but in situations where the driver is under regenerative braking and tuck-in is likely to occur during a turn, the driver is prohibited from being notified to release the accelerator and priority is given to tuck-in suppression control.
