Design a front and back cover for my eBook

Contest Brief

I have written an eBook called "HIPAA Privacy and Security Compliance For Healthcare Administrators". Carl B. Johnson is the author.

I would like a well experienced designer to design a front and back cover. The book is technical and the audience is medical workers that use computers and work with patients. The cover should show images related to healthcare and medical industry. Because the book is about devices like laptops, tablets, smart watches and smart phones it would be nice to see those images as well.

The title should be large and the author should be large. Both should stand out. I have enclosed some designs that I like.


The back cover should have the following:

    put a 2” x 1.2” white box in the lower right hand corner on the back? I just talked to the publisher and they will need an area for their ISBN barcode

      The ideal size of your eBook cover art is a height/width ratio of 1.6:1. This means that for every 1,000 pixels in width, the image should be 1,600 pixels in height. To ensure the best quality for your image, particularly on high definition devices, the height of the image should be at least 2,500 pixels. Ideal dimensions for cover files are 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

    I just want to add: some designers have been using colors like blue and yellow which is normally associated with medical/healthcare, that’s fine. Just keep in mind that wasn’t in the org requirements. If the design looks good it will still be considered, but that was not in the org requirements.
