Contest Brief

I am looking to have artwork developed for a unique line of coffee mugs and t shirts. The primary effort is the artwork for coffee mugs..which can then be later carried over to the t shirt theme.

The coffee mug design must fit a standard 11 oz/12 oz coffee mug. The ultimate goal is to do a coffee mug for each American Kennel Association Dog Breed

If you go to a particular breed, like the Boxer http://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/boxer/ you will see a face picture of the dog..and further down a line drawing that best represents this breed. I am looking to use the line drawing as a basis of the artwork for each breed.
Your job...come up with a unique way to render the dog breed and turn it into a very nice coffee mug design. This project/contest is for one or two breeds..to show me what you are capable of. If we work together, I will have you develop the artwork for about 150 dog breeds.

Besides the actual image of the dog breed, use your creative efforts to possibly add some design elements that can be part of the unique look and feel of the coffee mug. Assume a white background. Print area to work with is 7.75" wide x 3.25" High.

Key to this effort is 1) Unique high quality art for the dog breed. 2) A layout and design that can be used for all the future dog breed coffee mugs 3) Any type of branding that can be added so the mugs are identifiable as our mugs. Results must be with high resolution artwork. Artwork must be original and not violate any copyrights.

Dog Breeds for this project: Boxer, Bull Dog, Rottweiler ...you can pick one or more for your effort. I really do appreciate your time and effort...and hoping to find a long term artists/designer for this project and others. So this is test effort..and the winner can expect to get lot's of additional work out of this project. Thanks

Hello...thanks for the question. Yes..the one made that looks like pencil should be used as a reference. You could copy and paste..and add design over/around...but I don't want it to be a direct copy. The important thing is a rending of of the dog that looks realistic. I want dog owners to see the mug and really want to buy it .

Hi, this contest is great but I have a few questions. The line drawing you are refering to in the brief is the one that looks like made with pencil? and if so, you want this drawing as the basis, do you mean as a reference? or do you mean that we should copy paste that drawing and design over it?
