Contest Brief

Please illustrate the look of the kitchen cabinets and the cabinets in the home entryway. Cabinetry plans are attached. The design is modern euro slab cabinets with two tone in walnut and light mocha. For the kitchen cabinets there is a stainless steel toekick and stainless steel finger rails in the lowers. Also attached are pictures of the appliances that will be installed. On Wall #1, a dishwasher between #4 and #5. On Wall #2, the range/oven between #15 and #16. On Wall #4, the refrigerator in the obvious location, and the built-in microwave under the counter in the 34 1/8 space provided. I have not decided what to do with the backsplash so this is your chance to provide me with ideas. White quartz countertops. The kitchen is an open floorplan that spills into a family room to the right-hand side when looking at page 1. The kitchen has tall vaulted ceilings, however the family room has a standard height ceiling. This allows an 8 foot vertical wall to be shown starting from about 10 feet off the ground to 18 feet when facing Wall #2. I have attached a picture of the view of the family room and fire place when facing Wall #2. I have also attached a picture of the room when looking at Wall #4. There is no oven hood over the range, but rather, a fan in the ceiling at the edge of the family room. The entryway cabinets go from floor to ceiling. There is a bench drawn in to the right of the cabinets to store shoes and a panel with coat hooks. I don't have much time to do this project - a total of 3 days, but I will check in often to give feedback. I cannot extend the contest. The color of the walnut wood must not clash with the colors of the fireplace stone. The mocha color is negotiable and can be changed to whatever looks good.

The position of shelves 12 and 13 are the same elevation as the open walnut shelf directly to the left of the window. Cabinet 17 and 18 is located on the opposite side of Wall #2 (on page 4). The measurement does not have to be exact - I'm looking for visual color representation ideas more than anything else.

Dear Contest holder, can you provide the CAD files for the drawings? They would help create a more accurate representation of your space.

I do not have access to the CAD file, but the measurements of the cabinets are in the file. I am mainly interested in obtaining the right visual color scheme of the cabinets, so if something is off by an inch or so, not a big deal.
