I am a realtor specializing in ranches and horse property (and homes you'd find in a more upscale rural area) and a portion of my business is ranch management. I am creating a new real estate/community website called "Live and Play East County"

  They lock it simply because they seem to be unsatisfied by the entries and can't pick a suitable logo that meets their taste....

  Obviously Vector Stocks were used in the finalists entries. I'm pretty sure none of them draw those illustrations by themselves :D

I do not understand what's going on with this contest? Entries whit 4 stars of mine was rejected but whit 2 star are stand ....And 5 stars for @cotletcristian and @Arcgraphics but no winer and .....Site logo is placed which is rejected..........http://liveandplayeastcounty.com/wordpress/ Does anyone have any idea what happens?

  I think 144 is your best design and it is cute. Overall, I'm afraid your designs are a bit too "flat" for my taste. Ten years ago, I would have been alllll over 144. I'm just too old for that now.

  Thanks for your entries. Horses are very difficult as I am in a horsey neighborhood where we are quite particular and so I think it's best not to include horses in the logo. My dilema is that I am looking for a blend of classic upscale and casual informality (ala the wood and casual fonts on website theme) ... in the designs that have been submitted, I really like the "live & play" and tagline in a classic, formal font like garamond and the "east county" in a more casual font (not necessarily angelina). East County is a bit redneck and I don't want to have my logo end up inconsistent with the perception of the area, just want to elevate my brand.

and, it doesn't have to have a horse in it ... one of my favorite realty logos is a stylized star inside a box. it could be a dragonfly or a hawk or a mountain :-) (Horses are really difficult, because I come from a horse family, so it needs to be a nice quarter horse, not a hackney or an arabian. Some of the horses here are very good, others are a bit off.) Thanks again to everyone. I'm getting very excited.
