Logo & Business Card Contest:

Dear Contestant:

I HAVE RAISED THE PRICE BY USD100 BECAUSE I WANT SOMETHING SPECTACULAR, AND I HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT YET.
There have been 160 but nothing that wows me.

I need an exceptional logo. The company is called “420 Firesale”. What the company does is liquidate the assets of companies that are in the cannabis and hemp industry. When I say assets I means the entire companies themselves or capital equipment etc. Please go to the website to understand the company and to see where the logo will be used www.420firesale.com. Keep in mind we provide a financial service so it should look business like and sophisticated.

See the attached files called Silhouette 1 and Silhouette 2. If designed properly the concept of the firefighter in silhouette can be sophisticated, business like and cool all at the same time. The colors to be used are black and red. The company name is "420 Firesale". Other than the above instructions, How you design it is up to you. I am looking for sophisticated and cool.



Logo Details:
-Logo Text: “420 Firesale ”
-Logo subject: Firefighter/ fireman in silhouette
-Logo colors: Black and Red
-I will also need the logo in other colors, but I will let you know which ones once you win the contest.
-Formats of delivery: All the normal formats for web and print. Precise instructions for the formats will be given once you win the contest.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you win the contest for the logo, you will immediately design the business cards. Once you win the logo contest, I will provide additional instructions for completing the business cards. The business cards will be two-sided business cards.

    All contestants: I have not been getting designs that work for my purposes. In fairness to you all it is not your fault. The example I posted was not very good. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of great logos with the firefighter theme. Therefore, it is up to you to come up with one. However, I have come up with another idea I think will work. I am looking for a sophisticated business like logo. Please go back to the details of the contest. I have changed the instructions and added a couple of example logos that are meant to be inspiration. I DO NOT WANT EXACT COPES OF WHAT I POSTED. Please read the new instructions carefully.

    I do want the fireman helmet but I would like to see something more serious looking. Just because it there is a helmet doesn't mean it can't business like. I realize the example I attached is cartoonist, but I keep getting that same style. No one is trying anything different. I want to see other options. What I attached is just an example. I was not saying that is what I want. Unfortunately, there are not many good logos out there with a fire helmet. I want something that has the fireman helmet, but I want the logo to look sophisticated like for business, not a cartoon. I hope this helps.

    I keep entries that are cartoonish. Our business has a financial purpose. I would like to see something more serious like for a bank except using the concept of the fireman helmet.

    130 entries there are a few decent designs but I still haven’t fallen in love with one. The designs are all pretty similar. All it would take to win is one great design from a badass designer with great creativity. I would love to see some new ideas. The only element that must be present is a red firefighter helmet and the text “420 Firesale” other than that do whatever you want to in terms of creativity. Wow me please.

    Guys I have still not seen any designs that are excellent. There are several helmets with the shield that says 420 Firesale, but nothing wow. PLEASE LOOK at the attachment called “New Helmet Idea Concept” Only one person did a helmet with a shield that say 420, with the word Firesale below the helmet, and flames coming out of the helmet, similar to the design in my attachment, but this could be done much much better. Note: I like the flames but Please no axes.

    Because I am not getting the entries I want, I have adjusted the instructions. Please go back to the contest instructions. All it is going to take is one design that puts some real effort into this. So far, the designs have been very simple no real effort.

    Guys I am not getting anything very interesting so far. Take a look at the latest file I uploaded to the project called "New Helmet Idea Concept". The helmet in this image is very interesting. I don't want an exact copy of this idea, but I like the helmet. One idea would be a helmet like this with the number 420 on the helmet shield and where it says "Firefighter" below the helmet put "Firesale". NOTE I DON'T WANT ANY AXES IN MY LOGO. However, it might be interesting to have some flames comes out from behind the helmet. Keep in mind I want the logo to be clean with not too much going on, but should be interesting.

    I would like to see some designs showing the tail of the helmet. That is one of the important things that make a fire helmet unique. No one has done that yet. Also, I have not seen an abstract helmet. Every design has been very literal.

    Guys so far I am not seeing anything particularly creative or interesting. The only ones that have actually followed the instructions are going with the exact same angle on the helmet etc. I am adding a few sample helmet just to show different helmet angles. I would like to see something more abstract but still recognizable.

    If you submit the same design over and over all but the original will be rejected. I realize the designers sometimes do this to appear to other contestants the are submitting various designs that I am considering. That is not the case. So far, the only contestant that read the instructions submitted on single design over and over again. I have not rejected their original design yet, but so far I have seen nothing unique or interesting.

    So far it is very obvious the contestants are not reading the instructions for the logo. If you do not follow the instructions, your entry will immediately be rejected.
