Contest Brief
We are a non-profit organization located in Vero Beach Florida with ~50 members operating two Piper Archer aircraft. The club was formed in 1999 and is made up of pilots who have a love of aviation. Both airplanes are being painted and we would like to refresh the club logo to be used on marketing material, internal documents/presentations, as a decal on the airplane vertical tail and potentially other uses.
The name of the club is Cherokee Flyers. The Piper Archer aircraft is a specific type of the larger set of Piper Cherokee aircraft that are used for training purposes by many flight schools and used for personal travel. Our current logo is old, amateur, not polished, and was probably completed by members. Old design will be attached as an upload. We would like a new, fresh, professional looking logo.
One aircraft is painted red and the other is painted blue and the logo would have to look good on those base colors. As for design thoughts, if an airplane is used in the logo we would request that it has to be a Piper Cherokee type airplane. It would not make sense to use a different manufacturers airplane or a jet. Looking at the Vero Beach airport we also had an idea that the airport runway diagram resembles an 'F' and maybe that could be utilized in the logo somehow as a design detail but this is not a requirement. The state of Florida outline is another idea for something that could be on the logo.
