Contest Brief

Hello,

We are launching a contest for a logo for a new non-profit organization called "Purple Wheels Foundation ", who is a client of ours.

The Founder of the non-profit was recently handicapped, and she wants to share her experiences and lessons learned, and wants to provide resources and articles, and advocate, for newly handicapped people to help them in their journey. This will be done initially through a podcast, blog and forum.

The Founder's wheelchair has purple wheels, which is the inspiration behind the name of the non-profit, "Purple Wheels Foundation".

The non-profit organization is based in Canada, and will be a resource and advocate for those with disabilities and handicaps.

Primarily, the "Purple Wheels Foundation" will be a resource and advocate for those who recently became disabled, and help them navigate their new reality. Newly handicapped people will need help and guidance with navigating:

- Insurance
- Doctor advice and recommendations (the Doctor's aren't always right, sometimes they will say, "You will never walk again", which takes away hope and may delay recovery)
- Living & Healthcare
- Transfer
- Reposition
- Bathing
- Daily routine
- Bowel/bladder
- Surgery
- Finding help
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Caregiver
- Insurance
- Lawyers
- Physiotherapy
- Mediation
- Online classes
- Schooling
- Housing
- Government
- Programs
- Gym
- Places to hangout
- Restaurants
- Hot spots
- Travel
- Sexuality
- Understanding SCI
- Healthcare system
- Occupational therapy
- Social worker
- Psychologist
- Other issues that newly handicapped people will need help with
- Community for handicapped people to share resources, advice on these topics

The "Purple Wheels Foundation" will start off as a podcast and blog (information centre with articles and resources on the above mentioned topics), as well as a forum for the handicapped community to discuss these issues, and provide advice and share experiences.
