Hi

I have a short booklet, in MS Word format. It needs to be designed and laid out to make it pop and look nicer.

Instruction:
The contest is about design, layout, look and feel, typography and general formatting. Much of the booklet is very similar, so maybe 5 pages that needs to be addressed. What I am after is making it more pleasing to the eye. You have to use the text I have, and the icons and graphics that are there.

-The size is 8.5 x 11 - the same as attached.
-PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH THE COVER NOW.
- I would prefer the design to be made in MS Word, PowerPoint or Publisher.
-Initially show me your artistic ideas for the layout and ideas on the content pages and the tables
-Colors, fonts, layout, style, borders, callouts, text boxes - those are all open for ideas/suggestions.
-If I have made a font bold, or red, or italic, it is because it needs to be emphasized, please retain that.

Style:
I want it to be professional and modern design brochure. If you go far, please too far in the direction of a business presentation or school textbook rather than a circus poster. The eye has to flow with the document, and it cant be so hard to read.

I have replace the doc in the attachment and also attached the font used.
We will stick to this doc, we like the flow, designs, contents etc. Please DO NOT remove any graphics/icons or contents.

I expect you the use this doc and improve the layout and revamp it. I am hoping that you will do something better with the layout but please don't get rid of the components.

May I ask several questions regarding the competition to enhance the quality of my potential work?

- What is the type of brochure required for this event? Two-fold? Three-fold? 2:1 Fold? Or anything?
- Can we consolidate and summarize the text and information given to make it more eye-pleasing and informative at the same time?
- Can we place additional icons, infographics, illustrations, or images to make it more pleasing?

Are you sure you don't want a retouch for the 1st page? The glasses are almost unnoticeable.
