Contest Brief

I need several simple, 1950s style, art pieces for an upcoming advertising campaign. The still art will be compiled with voice over to create a short "educational" style video. The art will start off very simply, and black and white, of a young boys face and the first few shots will just be changes to his expressions. Then the shoots/art works will be of him standing behind a table bored. Then suddenly a color game box appears and he is exited. Then about 4 shots of how to set up game,then a shot of him and the game in color, background still B&W, then a shot with friends joining him in color, then a girl playing the game, then everything in color and boy very happy.

Many of the approximately 17 art pieces will often be alterations of the preceding pieces. And the art is not detailed at all in beginning of sequence. It will be moderately detailed in the game box and set up section and more detail color and background in end sets. If you are familiar with black and white animated commercials from the 1950s this is the basic look for the beginning and just color versions later. Or if you are familiar with "Ren and Stimpy" commercials like "Log".

    This sounds awesome, I usually draw in a 30s-40s style so this should be fun. I checked out your links and your website but I'm not too sure how the game is setup and played. the written description sounds like you build the blocks like jenga and set the board on top of it and then play the game like scrabble. can you share a picture of the game set up? Thanks.

    I would like to participate in the contest, I understand what you need, I will try to come up with something nice. I just have questions about the first scene, does he have any lines here, or it is a narrator's voice talking to him? What emotions should he express?

    I assume that you do not have a finished script? No worries if you don't, just please explain more detailed first scene.

    .hello, very interesting your project, also very well paid. but I have some questions.
    Do you need a cartoon video to promote your product?
    If so. you want that video to have an aspect of the year 1950 as if it were drawn by John Kricfalusi, the creator of ren and stimpy.

    You should explain better the script of your video so the freelancer will work more effectively. besides that I suggest you increase the time to do the work. 4 days is a short time. #extended
