Update floor plan in existing family home

Contest Brief

I am about to update the floor plan in my home and I need some good ideas for updating the floor plan to a modern open plan.

The family contains of two adults and a small child 0 years old. The floor plan must include two bedrooms. The childs bedroom should work as a playroom also. Or a separate playroom/ area in connection. The doors and the windows is not to be moved so you need to work you design around the current placement of them. The windows can be replaced by a glassdoor if needed.

A road with quite a lot of traffic is located in the upper part of the floor plan. The other side is our back yard with porch and gras.

You also need to have in mind the heavy snow load on the roof so the middle wall must be replaced by steel frame or timber to haul the weight. Thats no problem but you need to think about it in the design. All measurement must visible in the design.

The floor plan design is only to be made in the main building. The small extension is not to be remodeled (the one with the cars in front).

    With all due respect, if you do not send comments or qualify the proposals it is very difficult to us to plan accordingly to your tastes or needs or to continue drawing alternatives. I think design is basically about communication, you can expect hundreds of proposals from hundreds of freelancers (which is unfair to those who took your problem seriously for several weeks, at least make it #sealed), but no one can guess what you are looking for if you don't give more information or guide the design process in any way. Freelancer is not an application that randomly produces designs, we are people, professionals who try to do our job to your satisfaction, but it is a teamwork you can direct and guide. I say this in the aim that you get the best solution for you. Good luck.
