I am looking for a lightweight macOS Firewall implementation.
Broad details
• Rules must be able to be applied to a specific interface
• Must be able to block / unblock all applications
• Must be able to block / unblock specific apps - identified by executable path
• Monitor and record per-app usage data (in and out)
• Must only block / monitor per-app usage for traffic going to the internet (not lan based traffic)
• No UI required (at this stage)
• Dynamic configuration and control via a external process using a pre-defined messaging protocol (using IPC pipe or some such suitable mechanism)
• Must co-exist with existing firewall products
• Detect networking changes (active / deactivated networking interface)
Applicants must be able to provide a demonstration solution.
