BALLROOM DANCE PLAYLIST GENERATOR
I need a software program that will read a list of MP3 file names and create a text file of the file names arranged in a specified changeable order of dances.
The MP3 files are named: AAA##A##
AAA: three alpha or numeric characters = name of the CD
##: the track number
A: the dance. W=Waltz, F=Foxtrot, T=Tango, etc.
##: the tempo of the dance
ie: SWD01S35 = Shall We Dance, track 1, Samba, 35 tempo
This text file would become a Winamp playlist.
It would be nice to specify a sequence of dances, limit the range of tempos and have the program create a dance playlist that would use every suitable piece of music one time only.
It would be nice if the software could produce a report for the same sequence of dances showing the names of tracks that were suitable but not used. For example if the sequence was W 28-32, F 28-32, T 28-32 this report might count and list Waltzes and Foxtrots that are suitable but were not used because there were not enough Tangos to complete the sequence.
The software could read the MP3 text tag and use it to produce a text file showing the play list details. The time a track will play based on the start time of the play list. i.e. the first track plays at 7p so the program will calculate the play time of subsequent tracks. All the categories of MP3 text information, in either tag format, should be available in any order.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
