Hi

(a) I have a Huawei home router connected to internet and provide Wi-Fi access where all my smart devices are connected through this wifi

(b) I am now adding Raspberry PI and Node-RED to enable control and manipulation of those smart devices like lights, sensors, etc

(c) Raspberry PI is on the same Wi-Fi network

(d) I would like to add 4G dongle Mobile data on the Raspberry PI to enable a secondary access to internet on the same network

(e) by adding the secondary internet access, the network shall be the same so that the smart devices can be accessed via raspberry Pi when the primary internet connection goes off

The objective of this project is to enable smart devices to able to communicate via Wifi via Primary and Secondary internet access. The primary access is via my existing home router and secondary is via 4G which is on the Raspberry PI. Example, I can turn on/off the smart bulb if the primary connection goes down.

Please respond with proposal.

You could simply configure the data routing from your internal raspberry's network to these 2 gateways. The default route would be your Wifi network, the redundant/backup route to your 4G dongle. There is no hard in co More
