I created two tabs on your spreadsheet. The first tab, titled ‘CalJOBS WARN Zip Code Listing’ is the data that you copied from CalJOBS, and the tab titled ‘CalJOBS Office List’ is the spreadsheet that Deyna provide. I used the VLOOKUP formula on the first tab because that tab contains the value (in this case the zip code) that I want to look up against the other tab. I “lookup” the zip code against the CalJOBS Office List tab and then ask that excel

Use the VLOOKUP formula on the first tab when looking up the zip code against the ‘CalJOBS Office List’ tab. Your lookup range is the entire CalJOBS Office List tab, and the columns that you’re looking up are 2 (City) and 3 (LWIA).

Take a look at the resources and how I did the formula to assist you further. Then from there you can tell if the information aligned with the zip codes on the CalJOBS Office List tab, match up exactly with the information on the CalJOBS WARN Zip Code Listing tab. If they do not, those are discrepancies. In addition, you want to also find a way to identify if there are zip codes missing from either list. You can tell the CalJOBS WARN Zip Code listing has more zip codes than the CalJOBS Office List, but you want to be able to identify specifically which zip codes.
