The App
This a commuter tool in the form of a mobile app and website that utilizes social media to bring commuters together so they can make better decisions about their daily commutes. The focus of the services is to be Fun, Connected and Informative.
The Images
We are looking for images that depict the emotional trials of daily commuters and travelers. The images should be presented in the form of an illustration with a central character. The central character should be placed in the world of commuting/traveling (on a bus, in a car, at train station, airport etc.). The character and the commuting scene may be accompanied by text that describes the image (see sample moods). These images will be shared on user’s social media walls and must be fun and appealing to drive usage. We anticipate needing 50-100 images as our product matures.
The Character…
During modern times you have a commuter/traveler who embarks on the daily trials and tribulations of getting from one place to another, most notable to and from work. The daily commute is weighing on our character seeing more bad or boring days than exciting days on his commute. The commuter is essentially living for the weekend, getting through his commute as best as possible.
The character is smart and very sarcastic which lends to the fact that he is at times bitter/upset with his daily commute (a tad bit of ADD). He however is never so bitter that he cannot appreciate the good things/phenomena in life like; like the excitement of starting a new job and/ or coming home from a great day at work. In fact he lives for them and can find humor in most situations, even if at the expense of others.
Character appearance…
This character needs to be easily relate-able, with universal appeal. The character does not need to be human and does not need to have a direct relationship with commuting. The character will be dropped in the world of commuting and that will serve as his connection/relationship.
The character will take on human emotions (happy, sad, frustrated etc). The character needs to be able to express emotion through imagery (facial expressions, scenery and captions will be used to convey a particular mood/feeling/message).
Moods..
The images including the character should be able convey these moods/emotions with or without a textual description.
