We are an easy going family of 4 (mom, dad, a toddler and a cat) looking for a interior designer for a 4 bedroom 3200 Sqft house located in Pickering village, Ontario. Great opportunity for a design student who is looking to develop his/her portfolio.
The project will starts Aug 29th and hours is flexible. You can determine when and where you want to work. However, you must be able to meet with us on location from time to time to check progress upon request, mostly on evening and weekends.
We are looking for design recommendations including furniture pieces, floor layouts, color palettes, lighting, storage solutions, accessories, and window treatments that suits our taste, lifestyle and budget. We will likely want built-in cabinets, crown molding, wainscoting etc, so it would be a bonus if you have contractor contacts. The design must be cohesively presented in a package at the end of the project.
You will be paid $200 as initial retainer, and the remainder as installments depending on progress, for a total of $1,500 to $2,000 depending on your experience and type of services provided.
