### Description:
We’re seeking a proficient Node.js developer to create a tool that retrieves carrier tracking information based on user-inputted query data like origin (city, state) and ship date. This tool, inspired by TrackTaco’s functionality, should ensure adherence to API limitations and legal and ethical standards.
### Responsibilities:
1. **Development and Design:**
- Develop a Node.js application that retrieves carrier tracking information using user-provided data: origin (city, state) and ship date.
- Create an intuitive user interface for easy data input and result display.
2. **API Integration:**
- Integrate with carrier APIs to fetch tracking information, ensuring compliance with API rate limits and quotas.
3. **Database Management:**
- Develop a system to effectively store, manage, and retrieve tracking information for efficiency.
4. **Error Handling:**
- Implement robust error handling to manage API limit issues and ensure uninterrupted user experience.
5. **Security and Compliance:**
- Uphold legal and ethical standards in data handling and API usage.
6. **Optimization and Scaling:**
- Ensure the application is optimized for performance and capable of scaling to accommodate a high volume of user requests.
7. **Documentation and Testing:**
- Provide detailed documentation and conduct rigorous testing to optimize performance and usability.
### Skills and Qualifications:
- **Essential Skills:**
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with frameworks like Express.js.
- Expertise in API integration and management.
- Strong database management skills and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- **Additional Skills:**
- Knowledge of front-end technologies for interface development.
- Experience with cloud services for scalability and performance optimization.
- Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in software and data handling.
- **Education and Experience:**

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Node.js development and API integrations.
