Photo edit- Pantone correction

Correct image tone & match required Pantone color for background on head shots. The backdrop is the correct Pantone, however the photographer, me, did not light it correctly.
I have included an image that shows a sample on the correct pantone. The closest pantone color is PANTONE+ Solid Uncoated Cool Gray 1 U.
I also included my own attempt at correcting the image... Peter-3323.jpg, clearly not acceptable as i left a halo around the poor woman head. Help??
There are 2 raw files attached that I need corrected and cropped to an 8x10 leaving the highest resolution possible.
