Key Duties: <br>* Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation <br>* Identify, focus, and document scope of technology aspects for the Firm's projects <br>* Strategic project planning and information architecture <br>* Application development and database design <br>* Conduct QA testing, debugging, deployment <br>* Successfully integrate server side components with client side applications <br> <br> <br>Internal Responsibilities: <br>* In coordination with internal project staff, identify functional limitations, and design, develop and Q/A server-side technology. <br>* Stay current in new technologies and platforms and be able to adapt to technologies required by clients and projects <br>* Must be hard working, detail oriented, customer focused, a self-starter and a team player <br>* Represent the confidence and ability of the Firm at the very highest level <br> <br> <br>Skills and Aptitudes Required: <br>* 3+ years experience with Object Oriented PHP, MySQL, XHTML, JavaScript andCSS <br>* Solid AJAX skills using either JQuery, Dojo or Prototype <br>* Strong understanding of client/server security, hashing and encryption algorithms <br>* Experience with SOAP webservices design and development <br>* Knowledge installing, configuring and maintaining LAMP environments <br>* Solid database schema design and implementation skills � both transactional and analytical as well as database normalization theory <br>* Experience using version control systems (e.g. SVN) <br>* BS Computer Science or equivalent work experience required <br>* Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) <br>* Ability and experience working within a collaborative team environment wearing multiple hats. <br>* Proven ability to monitor workload, self-manage time/tasks efficiently, and work on multiple projects at one time <br> <br> <br>Good to Have: <br>* Experience with any of the following: JSP, Ruby, Python, ASP, C, C++, Objective-C, Lua <br>* Java, Websphere, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss <br>* Flash / Flex / AS3 basics <br>* AMF Remoting with any of the following: AMFPHP, Red5, Fluorine <br>* Win32/Cocoa application development <br>* Experience using third party SDKs (iPhone, iTunes, etc) <br>* Experience with open source products / frameworks (Joomla, Drupal, CakePHP, etc)
