I have a Playstation 'GunCon2' type controller.

It has both a Playstation and USB type connector.

I would like to connect this to my windows PC.

I have experimented with drivers that some hobbyists on the web have created for this hardware, but they do not work too well.

The gun is designed to be a 'light gun'... if you remember 'duck hunt' on the nintendo 8 bit... shooting at the screen etc.

I don't need the light gun bit to work.

My interest is purely having it operate as a Joystick available to DirectInput / DirectX.

The reason I want this controller is that it has a d-pad along with another of other buttons on the barrel of the gun, as well as a trigger.

This will be used in a related project. An external sensor will be attached to the gun via a velcro strip. There is no need for any work on the sensor.

## Deliverables

The gun is similar to this:

If needed, I can order one of these and have it sent to you during development.

I am guessing you're going to need some sort of USB sniffer to get the data from the device. If required I can provide remote access to the my computer with the gun attached... press buttons etc. as necessary for you to collect any required data.
