I would like to find a programmer who is capable of creating a robust testing/quizzing module for e-learning.
I have spent many hours surfing the internet to try to find a on online test/quiz program that does exactly what I want. I found a program that meets my needs, however, it is proprietary to a publishing company. If you are selected for this project, I can probably show you a way to sneak in the back door of the program that I like so that you can have a better idea as to what I am after.
As far as I am concerned, you can use any PHP/MySQL content manager (or blogging software) for the login and five tiered permissions portion of the project. The login permissions would be super admin, admin, course creator, teacher, and student.
The actual quiz/testing engine is the unique part of the project. Using various types of form fields and/or formulas, the quiz engine will be able to generate "algorithmically generated" questions. The questions should be generated as the student loads the test. In other words, the variables withing each question are calculated as the student's test loads.
Of course certain aspects of the program (the equation editor for example) might need to be done in Flash/Actionscript and/or Javascript. Most of the site MUST be programmed using PHP.
The programmer must:
1. be an experienced PHP programmer
2. understand data structures and be able to design an efficient relational MySQL database.
3. be easy to work with. I am sure there will have to be a lot of back and forth communication and clarifications.
4. comment the code.
