**_Simple Mobile Phone Flashcards_**

This is a very simple mobile phone flash-card application. It is not expected to take an experienced mobile phone developer more than a few hours.

**The application must have the following functionality:**

1) The ability to open and read an xml file containing a word list. The xml file is very simple and contains a list of words and definitions. If the developer prefers, we can negotiate a different file format such as fixed width.

2) The ability to view the word list in a flash card format. That is, the word is diplayed first. When the user “flips?? the flash card, the definition is displayed.

3) The ability to navigate through the flash cards

**The user interface of the application, roughly, will be:**

1) 4 buttons ??" back (navigates to the previous flash card) , forward (navigate to the next flash card), flip (turn the flash card over), open (open a new word list)

2) A panel that will display the flash card (i.e. either the word or the definition)

**Non functional requirements:**

1) The application must use only standard j2me APIs. I.e. no proprietary APIs allowed.

2) The application must be compatible with all java enabled mobile phones.
