The API interface shall be a new module to a codeigniter web application use APIs (application programming interface) in a more flexible and easier way for users and admins without requiring coding skills.
The concept of APIs is used in the application to …
1) Update database tables from public/open/free available sources. Examples could be weather data, currency conversion rates, stock exchange rates, freight rates …
2) Update tables from any 3rd party application such as sensors (e.g. GPS trackers), flight tracking data (e.g. flightradar24) and more.
3) Enhance/verify new lines/new content in a table by sending them to an API and process the response
4) Push data from the tables to a web service. Many enterprise applications allow to receive data via a JSON string
For all these features of APIs its now needed to develop an interface that allows the admins to create a set of available APIs and the users to create procedures to use the APIs.
The developers shall develop the API interface on their systems and plan to integrate it finally in the overall web application.
Once the project start, i will share a database structure dump + the php files. Please understand that i cannot share the content of the database due to company policy.
Please ready attached functional documentation.
