I have three magento stores sharing same database but each store has different code in its own folder
There was an initial virus issue from a few weeks ago which has not been resolved so we need to please fix as it came back again this week worse.
Ip address was blacklisted
domain was blacklisted
Hosting company has done the following to stop the spamming for now (this is only short term fix). They changed permissions and name of files which were spamming to stop the spamming and changed ownership of these malicious file to root. srver was trying to spam 90,000 emails from above ip address.
I have a wordpress blog plug in on one of the three sites. The virus/ malicious files seemed to be coming from a wordpress plugin and also Ultimo (theme for two of my sites)
We need to delete the above files if we don’t need them.
I want to remove WordPress altogether off my sites. I want it permanently deleted and removed from magento so there are no signs of WordPress as WordPress blog is prone to hackers and virus attacks so is too risky to have on my sites. I then would like to please have the blog which is used for another one of my stores (im pretty sure it’s the Aheadworks one, installed and set up in replacement of the wordpress one. I may be using an old version so would need it upgraded to latest version and all settings currently on one of my sites to stay the same and then put on the site which had wordpress. Captcha needs to go on it too (my other site has this now so you can see the set up). I will then repost blogs myself so no transfer of blogs from wordpress to Aheadworks will be needed.
I need please Patch up of all security holes, make sure ALL extensions, plug ins etc. are up to date and core code is correct. This is for all sites so they are safe.
A backup onto local system must be taken prior to any work commencing.
