Hey. I need a custom CMS for a WoW private server. I require a list of functioning features, but it is very critical to keep this in mind:
I am using a webserver and a dedicated server, the two will need to communicate with each (through MySQL) other constantly, so optimization is a must-have!
Here's a list of the main core features, more will be added as the CMS becomes more and more functional & ready for public usage.
- Registration with captcha
- Login with captcha
- Vote system (grant "vote points" after getting a postback from the voting site)
- PayPal API (payments to be automated, when money is received -> grant points onto their account)
- @Mention system
- Notification system (when being mentioned)
- Bugtracker (with the Mention & Notification systems implemented)
- Logs (login logger, donation logger, shop logger [our shops are in-game and require external DB connection])
- Online list (detect when the gameserver is up and when it is down with a special indicator) -> when online display online players and a few additional lines of SQL info (race, faction, gender, class, level, location)
- Changelog system (dev update #1 -> content, dev update #2 -> content)
- News system (non dev-update)
- Custom pages panel (for separate "terms of service", "disclaimer", "restriction" pages, and more if needed)
- Account panel (change email, change password, account status [banned or OK] -> if banned display reason, show vote & donation points)
- Roadmap (display what features are being worked on, estimated release date, description of the feature)
- Task manager (assign developers to tasks, assign developers to bugs [works with Mention & Notification systems], add deadline feature & reminders)
- Holiday special offers (double points when donating, voting, special "sum" to get extra credit in terms of points)
- Character selling feature (detect a character and allow to put it onto a public auction, the highest bidder wins OR the one who buys it for a full "Buy Now" price)
- Applications (staff recruitment application, appeal application)
- Administrator panel
- Friendly URL ([login to view URL] | NOT mywebsite.com/index.php/page=register or whatever variation of it)
**Note that all the listed features WILL have expanded descriptions and some features are more important than others. For now, the core features are Registration, Login, Vote, Donate (PayPal), Account Panel, Changelog, and News.
The rest can wait but would love to have offers for the full list AND the basic "must-have" list.
