SEO help with my site

I updated my site [login to view URL] 3 weeks ago. However, when you google 'skatezar' the first link that comes up is from the old site. On top of that, none of the meta tags I added show. This is getting really problematic because occasionally the first link that is shown is a (now) dead link. Apparently it takes 4 days to 4 weeks for google to churn the new site - is this the case?
