SW Specification (Local and RemoteServer) -----------------------------------------------------------

Each office will have one local server application running and central office will have one remote server. Local office server will replicate data to remote server.

1. RDBMS can be POSTGRES 9.3 / MS SQL 2012 or above

2. Application can be coded in Java or .NET languages. All screens should be browser based. Application should run on Windows 7 and above

3. Data in local RDBMS should replicate to remote central server. Replication schedule to be user programmable via a management screen. Error handling for replication failure to be provided. All management functions and application screens provided on local server to be made available on application running on remote server.

3. Features of application running on local server

Clocking schedules & shifts – Allows simple to complex clocking schedule, multiple shifts, rotational shifts and overnight shifts settings

Time synchronization – Provides tool to synchronize time between the terminals and the computer for more reliable clocking data.

User Management – add user, delete user, edit photo, edit data (this functionality is also provided on device)

The following reports to be made available – various kinds of leave report; on- duty report; Late report; Permission report; Daily attendance report; Monthly attendance report.

All reports should be complied with State/Central Government Norms where applicable.

Access control should be provided for screens based on user roles.

5. Remote server application should have ability to manage reports for groups of offices
