Listener Authentication. Securing with password a Shoutcast or Icecast audio stream

Hello Freelancers,

We have several SHOUTcast and Icecast audio streams and we need some of them to be accessed only by authorized persons.

Let us say that we need to implement a Listener Authentication feature. This authentication will Secure with log-in/password Shoutcast or Icecast Audio streams (MP3 and/or AAC).

While proposing an authentication method, please keep in mind that the server/stream access and related link shall be protected and not Only the page hosting the player.

The reason is that, if you protect ONLY the page hosting the player, once a person gets access and starts the player, he/she can easily find out the shoutcast/icecast stream link and access directly to the server in the future, without passing by the secured log-in page.

Please let us know what solutions you would like to put in place, if you have already done it in the past (and if your solution can be tested online) and all the details related to what you are proposing.

If you have experience with this matter, you won't need more information from our side, and everything we need and needs to be done will be clear to you.
