ToneStone is developing a site that enables users to purchase and share digital assets. We are seeking a development partner to lead the development of our user-facing web application. The website should allow for the following capabilities:
• The system should provide editing and CMS tools for creating and maintaining public-facing web content (initially Home, News, About Us, Terms of Use, Contact Us, etc).
• Visitors can register for an account and login.
• Logged in users can access a page with with dynamic content from their account (initially, a list of digital assets they have created) and a logout.
Features:
1. Assist in setting up dev and prod hosted MySQL databases, load with existing script and data.
2. Setup a hosted CMS server(s), dev and prod site. Establish link to hosted MySQL database.
3. Install CMS, configure roles
4. Help choose a theme for the site – something like [login to view URL]
5. Implement initial pages and nav: home, news, about us, terms, contact us pages.
6. Create ability for users to register and verify for an account. Verification via email.
7. Registration information for a user should be stored in the MySQL database and linked to other custom data. Profile information includes full name, display name, email, phone, local time zone, profile picture.
8. Ability for user to login to an account.
9. User can edit/save profile information.
10. User can delete their account.
11. User can change/recover password information.
12. User can view an account home page containing songs available on their account.
13. User can play a song.
14. Users can logout.
15. QA on dev site, deploy to production site process.
16. Ensure [login to view URL] points to production site
17. Document processes
18. Deliver a proposal for Threaded discussions (see attached)
System/Development Process
• The system should be developed using an open-source, widely available CMS, such as WordPress.
• The system should leverage a hosted, scalable database such as MySQL. We’ll provide a design and DDL for our design. You’ll need to extend that for whatever data is required by the CMS.
• The project team should seek to minimize custom development, leveraging widely available extensions and modules where possible.
• The team should have experience developing and deploying via a multi-stage release process (dev, production).
• The team should have experience deploying with a hosting service such as AWS.
• The team should be comfortable quoting a relatively fixed price project, with reasonable flexibility to amend the expectations of delivered features and cost.
