Fix website footer issues

I have an issue with my website where the footer background colour don't show for new pages/posts (just shows as white). However the footer shows correctly on "category pages". I asme the problem is related to css (as the footer has had some modifications.
Access to the site will not be provided- instead the required codes will be provided via notepad doc. Once codes has been adjusted I will upload to the site and see if it works.
