I am looking for a clean JAVA library which I can include into my existing Android application, which enables me to decode aviation weather messages (including mainly TAF + METAR messages). Parts of the application is already available (METAR decoding) in an open source library: and this should be also the programming style I am looking for. As I am a big fan of open source, I would like you to expand the current jweather project for the TAF decoding, which would be your job. I need an app creating that will generate a simulated weather radar display. There are some caviats: 1. The app needs to run under Windows XP 2. The app needs to emulate the look of a 1960s/1970s orange screen forward looking radar dispaly (see for an example) 3. I'm only interested in the display, not the controls, etc 4. The displayed image should sweep like a real radar set 5. The radar display would need to change over a period of time to simulate changing weather conditions (unless you can get it to use METAR data in real time......) Hi Guys, I bought a peice of software called weather-display ( trial can be obtained from ) Normally this software interfaces with a weatherstation, however it also has the ability to import METAR data into the application and display the the weather information in the software.
