Hello, I am interested in having a p2p system. There are literally 1000's of players in China and on Alibaba but I would rather deploy our own in-house. There were free tools to do this the most common was peercast. Another prime example would be Allsoon ([][1])
There are many p2p video streaming software's out there. Many for free and some extremely over priced. I want my own which I can then build upon over time. PeerCast, GoalBit, FastCast are some of the freebies but the support is somewhat lacking. Vatata claims to have a good platform but there are international issues there... 1. I want a clean p2p platform like SopCast or Veetle.com. 2. The client will need to run on a PC as well as a PC based set-top-box running linux. There will need to be some security measures in place as the final product will be subscription based. 3. hello i am wanting a similar clone or modifications with the peercast i need the following changes change all instances of peercast to my sites name change the peercast icon in tray to match my site i want this to appear 100 percent from my site also need a active X as noted in the forum there is one available all bundled with a exe file like they have, but with my sites name the taskbar icon i dont want to have anything but Exit yes or no peercast is open source and is easy modifications. this is the software only the website we will handle this is a simple project and may take a hour or so for anyone who knows visual basic.
