i need commands to install either a) or b). i need commands to compile either a) or b). i need commands to upgrade the kernel a) or b). i wish to know where total source code is present in a) or b). i wish to modify the source code of cp, ed, cat commands with the following code of mine #include<stdio.h> main() { float ab(25); int cd(20);char ef(80); scanf("%5d %5f %5s",&ab(1),&cd(1),&ef(1));ptinyg)"\n %d %f %s",ab(1),cd(1).ef(1)); } in such a way that my code should execute first and then commands codes of cp, ed, cat should execute next i.e. i need to know where the above code should be kept in order to achieve my objective stated above either in a) or b). after modifying the source codes, i need to know the commands to compile the modified source codes and incorporation of modified source code into kernel.

the work is to be done only in either a) i.e. linux 2.6.36 kernel or b)linux2.6.36-libre. it is preferred to be done in b).
