Consider an XML source - like [login to view URL] Want to demonstrate how to use ATMega328 with WifIShield Module ([login to view URL]) could directly access Internet, grab a specific XML file, parse it, store variables, and then use those variables to write to serial port.

I have experience in ATMEL ATMEGA, but I have no Arduino board. In my opinion, microcontroller can only supported predefined XML by certain library like TinyXML Parser (pls Google it). If the XML supplier change its format, we have problem to parse it, because it is memory monster, which is the bottleneck of a microcontroller. Currently I handle similar quests with proxy approaches, by using Yahoo Pipeline to convert the format, or using Google AppEngine Python script to generate C friendly format. It always works. All exceptions and poorly formated XML is processed by Python. There many ways to arrive ROME.
