Programmer must sign Confidentiality Agreement before commencing work and hand over any and all source code and ownership/distribution rights upon completion of project. The bid is for debugging an internet based game programmed in Director using the Multiuser Xtra and Shockwave Multiuser Server. It is both PC and Mac friendly, multi-roomed and allows multi-players in each room. ********** Things we still see needing "fixed" in the game would be: 1. Illegal clueing - Game allowing: TWUK for TRUCK this would be illegal according to a spec not allowing 1-3-5 of 5-letter words rule. 2. Game allowed question marks ( ??? ) to be clued ... this should be an illegal action during a game. 3. Questionable clueing ... Word was DUCK ... game would not allow the word WADDLE for the clue; stated it was illegal although according to illegal clue specs the clue should be considered legal. (There may be a other small illegal clueing activity; we will provide the illegal clue specs for the programmer's review upon acceptance of the project ... these are the illegal clue activities that have been obvious during testing.) 4. During game play, a correct response was submitted at the last second on the first clue given yet the game appeared not to acknowledge it and proceeded on to allow cluer to do second clue for that round. 5. Scoring ... game is sometimes subtracting (??) points when an answer is submitted and showing as correct. 6. Scoring ... Challenge Round ... not sure if this is happening yet want to clarify that the game should not award bonus points for all correct responses on a side. Bonus points should be awarded during regular rounds only. 7. Curious ... seems the equal sign ( = ) is not working in chat. 8. Also ... game needs to show to both teams, the answers that were submitted by both teams on the correct guess portion of the round. Still only showing this way some of the time. ********** To us as non-programmers, these look like "easy fixes" ... not sure how it factors in coding wise though. The original developer felt that due to the fact that they could not re-create errors on their end and that they were spending too much time trying to fix the game, it would be best if they scheduled no more time to complete this project.
