Hi, Greetings from Team Imajey ! I have got good expertise in CFD both in theoretical background and in application level ( Fluent/CFX), and have successfully completed many CFD projects before both in Freelancer.com and outside. The rotating body kind of problems can be effectively solved using either moving wall concept or in rotating frame of reference depending upon the nature of the problem. If awarded following would be the rough project methodology 1. Solution of 2D problem under steady state assumption 2. Validation of the 2D results with reliable data 3. Solution of 3D problem under steady state assumption with the same solver parameters as that of the 2D problem 4. Validation of the 3D results 5. 3D unsteady solution (if required) Exact methodology I can submit only if I get the project description. Please send it to me, if you can. I think, I should say something at this stage. Fluid flow can be simulated either using FEA or by CFD. But the governing equations of fluid flow (Navier-Stokes) are too complicated to handle by FEA. That's why even if most of the FEA packages (Anysys Mechanical/ Abaqus) has got flow simulation in it, that method is not so popular. To get better solution CFD is the right way. As the project progresses everything will be documented in a neat report with all model parameters and assumptions behind it. For any clarification please feel free to write to me.
