I have the site designed and approved by my client, but I can not seem to get a drop down menu system to work. Ideally The client would like to have a "mega menu" to display all of the sub-categories. I have tried 3-4 free jquery plug-ins, but none of them can get the positioning right, and I am having problems with the z-indexing.
Below the menu I have a j-flow slideshow, and no matter how much I adjust the z-index, the menus always appear under the slide show using these free systems.
I need somebody to quickly design a drop down menu system, it should not be more than 200px tall and 800px wide for each of the 10 menu items ( this menu has two rows, one on top and one on bottom). The menus must appear in the right position, and they must be above the slideshow. Also, the code must work on IE7. You do not have to style the menus to fit the page, basic background-color will be sufficient. I will stylize the menus to match the rest of the page after everything is working. You can use either a pure CSS version of the menu, or a jquery plugin. as long as it works and is not flashy.
I am only getting paid $15 an hour from this client, so I will pass this rate to a sub contractor.
SInce I already have the meun constructed, this should only be 1 hour of work from somebody who really knows what they are doing.
