Hello, I have Jquery mobile running and simply need someone who is familiar with JSON to take Groupon's API results (see example JSON file attached) and format them using the generic template JqueryMobile uses for list items while rewriting the URL's to be affiliate links rather than direct [login to view URL] links (see [login to view URL]).
I would like to have a small thumbnail to the left of each item, and have the title in larger, bolder (header) font than the deal description. As this is for mobile, I need to truncate the amount of visible text description that accompanies each Groupon listing. What I mean is, I'd like to aim for displaying each block within an approximately 300px width. This isn't set in stone, but as most viewers would see this on their iPhone etc.. I need it logically formatted for that screen. The truncated description can simply be hidden on the users screen with a "show more" link that unhides the full coupon description. It's your call how many characters are shown by default.
I can provide you a live Groupon API URL if needed. I need that URL to be called via Jquery, format the link with affiliate variables for each coupon, then display that content within an existing DIV. I'm not using Jquery to do anything more with the pages when a user clicks each link, they would be treated as "external-url" and not tracked by Jquery.
