I have a large .csv file (155-MB) from [login to view URL] that I need to upload to mysql. I have uploaded the file to my server and tried to SSH in and dump it into the DB, but have run into problems. After uploading the file, in SSH I typed in the command:
mysql -uusername -ppass domainname_com_-_ipstate < [login to view URL]
I then receive the error, ERROR 1153 (08S01) at line 1: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes
Now I have tried breaking the .csv into smaller sections, importing the file directly into mysql, and converting the file into a dump file – but still cannot get this file loaded into the mysql. If anyone has experience with this type of problem I could greatly use your expertise.
I have a dedicated Linux server running Apache/Ensim with PHP Version 4.3.9, Apache 2.0 Handler, Mysql 4.1.20.
