When [login to view URL] is typed into internet explorer, it throws a security exception ignoring my current .htaccess files. every other browser handles this and makes it [login to view URL] as per my ssl certificate requires the www. internet explorer on the other hand refuses to add the www. If https is already included. What i need. To force https://www. in internet explorer when [login to view URL] is entered as the url. things to watch out for, we run a cdn on [login to view URL] , this cannot be altered with www. being added and other simple solutions. and [login to view URL] serves its mobile content, this is also https with no dubs

The security exception sounds like IE not liking the SSL cert chain therefore not getting as far as the .htaccess. If it is an SSL issue, then it may be resolvable outside of the .htaccess assuming all parts of the cert and ca chain are available. If the SSL chain appears fine then the .htaccess can be inspected and corrected.
