Android Text Selector

I am after an app that when installed will add an extra button to the android keyboard. When pressed it will display a small box with a circle in the middle. When you swipe your finger over the circle it will scroll the text insertion line over one character in the direction of the swipe. In effect what I want is a virtual track ball. Similar to the trackball on the HTC Hero phone for example.
