I have already design an application which I think matches your requirements. I my application I used pattern lock to hide my database. This app is like a personal diary. you can enter your email account/ bank account pin/password and can hide them by using material design pattern lock.

Hi , I have worked on educational android app development. I have implemented a lock down mode in that .Okk let me tell you what is lock down mode : In this mode once user opened the app and join the session ...He/she will not able to move out from app , cann't power off the phone,will not receive the calls , I have disabled each and every option where user can interact. And app is up and running .. I think i can achieve your targets / requirement .
