ASP.NET pages with WCF, EDM, VS 2010, (UBK #1)

**** Please make sure to read the attachment text file too. *** Overview: Implement a 3 tier web application. Use ASP.NET for presentation tier. WCF + EDM/LINQ for Middle Tier, and SQL Server for database tier. We already have an existing template (project structure) of ASP.NET + WCF + EDM. Code for EDM classes will be given to you. All you do is to add class files to WCF and ASP.NET projects. You will be given SQL Server 2008 Database with all tables with testing data. NO work required on database tier. No stored-procedure, just EDM. SKILLS REQUIRED: ASP.NET -> Basic data-binding, postback, ViewState, Master-Page, ASCX UserControl, NO ObjectDataSource in binding to grid CSS, basic web design skills EDM -> Basic Data-In with INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE. Data out with LAMBA. DB-Transaction under ObjectContext. WCF -> General knowledge, good object-oriented design concept with interface. PROJECT SCOPE: A total of 4-5 ASP.NET pages under 1 web application + 1 MASTER page with top menu. 1 page is basic login page. 1 page is a call to Web service and display basic data return (No Grids). The other pages are standard ASP.NET Grids, Form-submission, paging. NO complicated Grid-inside-Grid, NO AJAX, NO ASYNC, NO hecking on ASP.NET library. Your deliverable should include BOTH (1) fully functional and fully tested WCF and ASP.NET Pages, AND (2) A PROFESSIONAL LOOKING LAYOUT with CSS driven color, font/style (NO fancy graphics or design, just clean and PRO) After your bid is accepted, you will get a detailed SPEC for each page, which will give you a basic layout and what tables it read from and update to.
